Using the CNC vinyl cutter to make decals
Our vinyl cutter turns your CNC machine into a cutting plotter for thin materials such as thin film, foil, paper, cardboard, and adhesives.
The holder accepts Roland cutting knives which are very common and easy to find.
This drag knife tool is a great compliment to our High-Z machines, and it is intended for small scale production. Please contact us for recommendations if you are looking for a high-speed cutting plotter.
If you want to create decals with different colors from single color stock, you can do what Mr. Brandau in Germany has documented in some of the images above. Just cut each stock stock color independently and then stack the decals on top of each other to create multi-colored designs.
