Making picture and mirror frame replicas with a CNC
Using a small CNC machine for long decorative frames
Mr. Walter of Germany uses a High-Z 1000 Standard model to create replicas of frames for mirrors and pictures.
Some frames are much longer than the machine itself. But since there are no obstructions in the X direction, he can work on the frame parts one segment at a time.
The work starts with 3D scanning an old frame, and then mill the wood or plaster stock material to make a copy of that scan.
